I really enjoyed this project and think of my kids as I watch the video. I have been looking into a use for the Arduino to play around with and just to learn the language. I am considering purchasing your same setup and breaking down your code to understand it better. Are there any links or resources that you would recommend for a new guy getting into the Arduino language?
@Scott – Thanks for the comment. I’m going to post some more details. I’ll try to take some time to point out the things that I learned during the project. There were quite a few as I’m much more familiar with building apps for larger platforms (PC, web, phone, etc.) than I am embedded hardware apps like this. All in all, I really enjoyed the project, and look forward to continuing it’s development.
This is a really awesome project, and I love the text to voice! It adds a really nice touch. Perhaps your kids are considering a future in engineering? Thanks for releasing your code as well – it’s well commented.
Thanks, Jeremy. I must admit that most of the well commented stuff comes from the Waveshield sample code. I do need to add some additional comments to the code and project page detailing the areas that I refined/learned things on while working on the project.
Hey, Andrew. I’ll get the code up some time today. Had it posted in the page with WordPress plugin, but it’s proven to be a bit flaky. I’ll throw it on GitHub (or similar). Thanks for checking it out!

Brad,
I would love to get the source code, but don’t see it. This is the launcher I’ve always wanted.
